Hey everybody!

This was a not-so-exciting week :P I was in and out of the bathroom for a good part of the week with some goofy stomach problem. Plus, we had more appointments fall through than those that stuck. Despite that, we were still able to do just enough to stay afloat. Really, there are just a few stories from this week that made it a lot of fun :) 

  

We had dinner with our Bishop Robert this weekend, and it was delicious! Since he's Haitian, we had some awesome Haitian rice and chicken. Not only did we eat it, but Bishop taught me how to make a lot of it. I'm going to have to make chaka, mushroom rice, chicken sauce, benan peze, and all that other good stuff for you guys when I get home :)

Elder Pendleton and I were walking down the road on Friday night, and this car full of Haitians drove by. One of the kids stuck their head out the window and pointed at us, yelling, "Hey look! A white guy!" #WelcometoBrockton

In district meeting this week, this Plymouth Sisters brought a member to DM. Her name is Kaitlin, and she has autism. During district meeting, she made lots of random comments at inopportune times. One of those came as we were introducing ourselves. She stopped, looked at me, and says, "You're cute." Everybody in the room just kinda stopped and it got really quiet. She then proceeded to try to flirt with Elder Lee for the rest of district meeting and district lunch. 

We met with a really cool family, the Daileys, last week. We had an awesome lesson, and I guess we made a deeper impression than we thought. Not only is he sharing the gospel like crazy, but he and his wife gave us a bag of stuff like TP, shampoo, and toothpaste at church on Sunday. It was really nice of them, especially because I ran out of deodorant yesterday morning :P haha

One of the ward's recent converts also went kinda crazy this last week, and tried to kill one of the Haitian Elders' investigators. Legally, that's all we can tell you... but it was crazy.

We had an incredible lesson with Jim this last week! We taught about recognizing the Spirit, and revelation through prayer. Not only was the Spirit so strong in the lesson, Jim mentioned that he's specifically been trying to improve his prayer relationship with God and struggling to get answers. Revelation in weekly planning totally works!! :D haha
